i recieved the same email from pch,but i knew it was a scam because it came up in my spam box,,all the real stuff comes in my reg emaill.i set it up like that,so people,if you use your comp the way its suppose to be used, you will not have that problem..
Miss E. // Nov 2, 2010 at 1:51 pm
I received this scam both in my regular and spam boxes. So I sent them a message to send my money now. I enter the (real) PCH sweepstakes every other year or so, and I used to order from them so if they had my e-mail address then they have all the required information to send a check or knock at my door should I be a big winner. Usually I spot the scams right away, however this one made me reserach a bit more until I located this website to confirm what I already suspected. I am so glad that I did!

I just got the exact same email but, w/ email publishers.org2012@gmail.com, for Dave Sawyer, and got all excited . Sure its a scam? I am unemployeed, and cant get a job, so thought maybe something was going good for me. Whoever is sending this email should be ashamed of themselfs to get someones hopes up, and then knocke you to the ground. You need to be shot
Brian // Feb 4, 2011 at 12:36 am
105% sure that it’s a scam.
Mike // Feb 6, 2011 at 4:09 pm
I too just received this e-mail and at first was tempted by the real looking names and addresses. It asked for personal info which probably can be found rather easily but nothing financial. However on careful examination, the english used didn’t look like that which a professional company would write, so I decided to do a little digging. Took me about 20 minutes until I stumbled on his site and glad I spent the time. Sure could use the money, shame on these people, they need to be put in jail for trying to dupe people.
robert // Sep 27, 2011 at 9:40 am
you are so right yet no one does nothing and it keeps going on i got the same crap
Deb // Feb 10, 2011 at 10:08 am
Yes, I did receive the email, but, of course, realized it was a scam immediately, simply because the message was received in my business email account. Yes, too bad we can’t develop a scam to do to these jerks.

smarti18092 // Mar 9, 2011 at 7:16 pm

Marilyn Joan Hadey // Apr 14, 2011 at 3:57 pm
Dear Mr. Dave Sayer,
Are you really telling me is that the PCH SWEEPSTAKES is a scam do you mean this is not for real? I have been playing this for along while and Danielle Lam even talks to me if I need help with something she will send me to the customer service dept. I was really hoping that I would see you’s on the 25thor29th of this month as a surprise for a nice gift that I could share with my boyfriend and dog name BINGO. Please respond back if you could or would. ThankYou marilynh89
Brian // Apr 14, 2011 at 4:09 pm
@Marilyn – get real. I’m not saying that PCH is a scam, I’m saying that this email that I recieved on my website here is a scam. Brian – Administrator

Better yet, get a Gmail account or another POP account that deletes this crap for you. In this day and age I still cannot believe that idiots still fall for this garbage. How people can be so incredibly stupid in entirely beyond me.
Diane Burke // Jul 5, 2011 at 9:17 am
I received this scam on July 2, 2011 from Mr. Todd Sloan PCH.Company – your e-mail won $1,000,000.00 and send your name address and phone number to pchlott.org@3mail. You will be given more details by our information centre when you send them your reply.
Elliwi // Nov 23, 2011 at 12:56 am
Dave Sayer and Todd Sloane are legitimate officers of Publishers Clearing House. But, this is NOT how they operate. You receive a sweepstakes entry with pages of stuff you can buy. I get a couple a week and also by email. Some of their merchandise is “as seen on tv”, or other things that are not easily found. They do not ask you for anything, not even money–you get billed later, in installments. I have successfully ordered from them with no problems. You do not have to order to participate in the sweepstakes. I’m crossing my fingers for the $5,000 a week for life.

My mother who is a 80 year older woman got a call also from this Dave Sayer but he spelled his name Fayer when I asked question as what is the purpose of this call and so on. After checking it out reading everyone reply I am now sure of what I knew a Scam. Thank you all

The biggest giveaway that I see is the horrible English, misspelled words, use of all capital letters, the use of “USD”, etc. in these scam emails. They are all tips that the perpetrators are not from this country, are not educated, and are too lazy to get someone to check their emails for errors before sending them out.

WHY DON’T YOU POST THE POSITIVE REPLYS, IN-
STEAD, THEY ARE ALL NEGATIVE…I REST MY CASE
YOU NEED SOME HELP & GET A LIFE!
Brian // Aug 8, 2012 at 7:14 am
There are no positive replies. And since you didn’t bother to read to the bottom of the comments you didn’t hear me say that Publishers’ Clearing House isn’t a scam – it’s just that there are scammers that pretend to be PCH.
