I received the exact e-mail claiming I had won a lottery from their firm. I googled the name Christopher Frediech. They wanted me to send $600 for delivery charges from England. They make it sound real. I am glad I did research about it before I sent any money. They said my e-mail was randomly selected just like your blog said. Thank You.

I received this exact same e-mail and my first thought was SCAM! I immediately Googled the name and came across your site. Thank you for making this blog/site. I have also received an e-mail about wanting to hire me for a job to recover there funds from some of the companies that borrowed money. Conveniently the company was located in china and there was no one for me to talk to. One other e-mail I recently received was one from a John Shuba stating that he needed my help to claim $17,000,000 USD. All of these were obviously scams! I hope by typing this comment I will help someone so that they don’t get scammed!

I rec’d this scam also. I receive these scams daily. I actually mark as phishing scam but have also sent to FBI investigators. If anyone requires you to send money to them to get your money, YOU KNOW ITS A SCAM. If anyone really has money for you, a real attorney won’t contact you via e-mail. Also, you would never have to pay anything to get whats coming to you. I know some people are gullible because they are money hungry and think this crap is real. When someone comes up to you and has cash in hand or bankers check and says it goes to you, and you don’t have to give away YOUR money, than maybe its real.

I have always thought these were scams. I even tried proving it to a friend of mine. But, he would not listen and sent off over $5000.00. Now he has to pay a loan back for his greed.

I get these almost daily. Today I thought I would google the name just to see what came up, and I found your site. Do these people really think that in this day and age that people are naive enough to fall for these? Seriously!

    • Brian UNITED STATES

Actually, yes… people do fall for these scams. If they didn’t there wouldn’t be a need for my website.

Now they are saying he is bequeathing me all his money because he is a Christian and knows I will do the right thing with 20,500,000. But, they have to get me to call a number in London and give my info to make sure Im the one he chose. Sad this is still going on after a year. I hope everyone who gets these emails check before you do anything

Thanks Kevin and let me guess – the number they gave you starts with +44 70. These are forwarding numbers, based in Britain yes, but can forward anywhere in the world. The destination on these is usually Nigeria.
