Our primary goal here, believe it or not, is education. We want people to see scams so they can identify emails that they receive and identify them as scams.
Our focus is primarily on payment scams, Nigerian scams and job scams to some degree.
Please don’t send your scams to us – we have plenty on our own.
Comments are moderated, by the way – that is to say I have to approve your comment before it will appear on the website. If you don’t see your comment instantly appear on the page DON’T FREAK OUT. I have a job and I do sleep from time-to-time.
Spam comments (this would be most entries with URLs) will generally go into the bit bucket unless I deem them interesting.
My perspective on scam emails:
I can tell if something is spam or a scam in a very simple way. Is it from someone I have sent an email to? Is it from someone that I gave my email address to?
If not, it is ‘unsolicited email.’ I don’t trust those at all. If I wasn’t saving them for this website they would be deleted nearly instantly… probably without being read.
I reserve the right to delete any comment (or not publish any comment) at any time.
