Scam Of The Day

"Remember people, these are scams – there is no money to be had. The scammers are trying to get YOUR money."

Note from the administrator: these are scams - do not take them seriously. You won't gain anything and you will certainly lose money to these people if you get involved with them.

It is a scam…

Hello – Brian here. Admin of the site.

If I have sent you to this page, it’s because this page was written for you.

You are asking if an email or SMS text message you have received is real – if you are really going to receive lots of money.

Sadly, no, it is not real. To date I’ve received probably 25,000 of these scams and none of them have been real.

I used to joke with people from a certain country and say that we do not answer questions from your country now because everyone who posts a comment asks if the email or text message they have received is real. They are not, of course.

What is going on is that this is a type of fraud… a scam called Advance-Fee Fraud. It is called that because people are ‘offered’ lots of money – usually millions of dollars – in exchange for a small fee in advance. They NEVER receive the money they have been promised.

And just for your information – in the three years that I have been running this website I have talked to NO ONE that won the big money. Don’t you think that I would have talked to someone that won the big prize by now?

So – if you have received a text message supposedly from Microsoft (or from anyone else) telling you that you have won millions of dollars, it is not real. It is just some people that want to rip you off and take your money.

And if you have received an email message telling you that you have won millions of dollars, again, it is not real. It is just some people that want to rip you off and take your money.

And here are the facts of life – not everyone has your best interests in mind when they contact you. Some people want to do everything in their power to rip you off and take your money.

These are scams. The best way to deal with them is to delete them whether you have received them via email or text message. None of them is ever real - if you ask the administrator if the scam you have received is real he will ignore you or make fun of you.
